After spending some time away from architecture pursuing other interests, Katie has found her way back and is excited to continue her design journey. Her experience in drafting makes her an excellent fit at Finn Daniels, providing clients with detailed & coordinated drawing sets.

Katie has been very involved in various non-profit organizations over the years including The National Eagle Center, Culture Camp, her church, and various on-campus organizations. Her work with these organizations has allowed her to grow her leadership, organization, time management, and communication skills as well as becoming more effective in working in group settings.

Starting at a young age, Katie has always enjoyed building and designing. Many years of drawing blueprints in crayon as well as building with Lego and anything found in the garage drew her into Architecture when deciding to pursue higher education. Even in Katie’s sidestep into recreation education, she would always jump on the opportunity to help design buildings with various pursuits while attending Winona State. With the opportunity of working at Finn Daniels, Katie has been able to strengthen her drawing and designing skills as she reenters the architecture world.

Outside of the office, Katie is continuing to work hard pursuing her architecture degree. She has a 5-year-old to keep up with and has a wonderful partner to share that with. Katie has become very involved with all the handbell choirs at church and has been part of the program for 21 years – now with her son coming to enjoy practice with her. Her family loves playing in the backyard, going on trips to “family favorite destinations” of Duluth and Lake Vermillion, kayaking, fishing, drawing, enjoying music, and being involved in community athletics.
